I have been biohacking for over 10 years. The word “biohacking” triggers many people, but to me, it simply means to take extreme ownership because no one is coming to save you.
⚠️ My goal is to create content that triggers people. Nothing like a good trigger to force you to look within and ask, "WHY is this triggering me?!"It's one of the best life hacks to get ahead of everyone else.
I’ve never bought into the health fads that flood the industry, and I never will. Bodybuilding competitions, overtraining for a spot on the podium, veganism… these trendy traps distract from real, sustainable habits and push “average” as the goal.
At Longevity Palace, we say no to ordinary. We want you to be extra extraordinary.

Triathlons.
Ladies, let’s question the triathlon obsession; gruelling training spikes cortisol, disrupts hormone balance, and pushes women with busy lives toward sugary, high-carb junk food for fuel.
Biologically, excess stress harms mitochondria, accelerating aging and fatigue. Let’s face it, the majority of us live high-stress lives and don’t have enough downtime. Unnecessary triathlon training adds to that load and may become a diminishing return at this point.
Prioritize nervous system health with gentler movements, such as cycling, for the sake of riding bikes outside (not just for competition) to reduce inflammation and support energy. Focus on sustainable habits that keep you thriving for decades, not chasing medals that could burn you out.
❤️ But if you do insist on competing, I’m cheering you on! You do you, sister. 🫶🏼 I personally understand the importance of sports with mental health, but just remember to recover harder than you train, and honour your future self.
Pre-workouts.
Nope, not needed for energy. Consistent exercise, natural stimulants such as caffeine in moderation (and strategically), food, and creatine naturally boost ATP production, fueling mitochondria for sustained energy. Your body has the power to perform without artificial boosts, and you’ll feel the difference when you trust your innate strength.
SMRTER Pre-workout Ideas:
- Banana + almond butter
- Oatmeal + berries + honey
- Greek yogurt + walnuts
- Hard-boiled eggs + avocado
- Whole-grain toast + peanut butter
- Apple slices + cashews
- Sweet potato + olive oil
- Black coffee (90 min post-wake)
- Herbal tea + lemon
- Water + sea salt + lime
💡 Pro-tip: If you're having trouble finding the energy to work out, address the root cause instead. Pre-workouts are a Band-Aid. You’re burning yourself out in the long haul. My favorite boost before a workout is an espresso and a banana.
Juice cleanses.
Starvation in disguise. Juices may spike blood sugar levels, lack essential nutrients, and disrupt hormone balance. Nutrient deprivation stresses your liver and muscles.
Try nutrient-dense meals like whole fruit, honey, steak and eggs for steady energy. You deserve to feel nourished, not deprived, so focus on whole foods that fuel your body properly rather than chasing a quick-fix liquid fad that leaves you drained.
Kids before 35.
Your brain isn’t even fully developed until your 30s, and healthy habits matter more than age for fertility. Don’t be afraid to live wildly in your 20s, building healthy habits, collecting experiences and perspectives, and growing a mindset (and habits) worth passing on.
If you want kids at 40, go for it if you’re healthy (most people aren’t)— fertility myths are overblown. There’s no reason women can’t have kids even at 50 if they honour their bodies.
Poor habits, not age, tank your chances. Break free from society’s pressure and live YOUR truth, no rush.
❤️ P.S. Not judging if you had kids before 35. You do you, babes! There's no one-size-fits-all rule. Defy outdated rules to live fully, whether kids come at 35, 40 …or never.
Annual flu shots.
Hard pass. Weak immunity stems from poor diets, bad habits, and stress, not just viruses. Low vitamin D and gut health impair immune response. Instead of teaching the public to boost their immune system naturally, we forced everybody to put on a Band-Aid.
Your body is a powerhouse that knows how to heal itself when you give it the right tools. Boost your immunity with nutrient-rich foods, sunlight, and quality sleep. Empower your body’s natural defences, focusing on vibrant health from within.
⚠️❤️ *Make your own informed decision about vaccines. Only you know what is right for you and your family.
Starving yourself.
Your body isn’t a punching bag. It tanks your metabolism, strips nutrients, depletes muscle glycogen, and disrupts thyroid function, setting you up for weight regain and binges.
Instead, opt for high-protein meals (<30g per meal) to preserve muscle and stabilize blood sugar levels. Fuel with love through balanced eating that supports satiety and energy, creating joyful, sustainable health without the punishment of calorie cuts.
Counting calories and restrictive diets are torture. There is no need to say no to that slice of cake if you’re applying the 80/20 rule. You deserve to fuel your body with love, not punish it, so embrace habits that make health feel sustainable and joyful, not a struggle.
Skipping breakfast
Challenge skipping breakfast—it spikes ghrelin, driving cravings and blood sugar dips that sap energy.
Skipping breakfast is a recipe for chaos— it spikes ghrelin, driving cravings and blood sugar dips that sap energy. Start with a high-protein, high-fat breakfast, such as steak and eggs, to stabilize glucose and insulin levels. Break your fast right to fuel focus and strength, tailored to your body’s needs, avoiding fasting trends that disrupt your day’s rhythm.
Don’t buy the fasting hype if it leaves you ravenous. Especially if you’re a woman who lives a high-stress life, or you’re on your period. Listen to your body and fuel it to dominate your day.
Bloating is normal
Bloating is NOT normal!! It’s your gut screaming for help! It signals gut dysbiosis or hormonal imbalance, often from processed foods or stress. Address root causes with fermented foods (kimchi) and gut-healing bone broth to restore microbiome balance. Take enzymes and supplements if needed (work with a holistic nutritionist).
In 2020, I was a bloated mess, in pain from everything I ate. Healing my gut changed my life—I can now eat freely without any intolerances or bloating.

Soy is a superfood.
Nope, not buying it. Processed soy’s phytoestrogens can disrupt estrogen balance, impacting thyroid and fertility when overconsumed. Opt for grass-fed meat or eggs, rich in bioavailable protein and B12, to fuel muscle and brain health. Nourish yourself with real foods that support your health without falling for overhyped plant-based trends that might not serve you.
Staying lean is hard.
You’re not losing weight because you’re not addressing root cause… and your environment probably sucks.
How to stay lean effortlessly? Put in the hard work upfront and nail the basics: move daily, eat whole foods, sleep well, and address hormonal and thyroid issues, insulin sensitivity or other root causes that are preventing you from burning fat.
Build strong habits via neuroplasticity— repeat small actions to rewire your brain’s reward system, making health automatic, like brushing teeth.
Pro-tip: You don't want to hear this, but I'm going to say it: you are the average of the people around you. If you hang out with overweight, lazy people, guess who you will become? Hard truth. Your environment is the most vulnerable aspect to exploit… and upgrade. Surround yourself with active, health-focused people. Work with the coach who has been there and still doing it.ver
Birth control is safe.
The claim that birth control’s always safe doesn’t hold up— it can disrupt hormones, hide issues like PCOS, and trigger mood swings or fatigue. Yes, it can be prescribed strategically at different stages of our lives (e.g., perimenopause). Address root causes with your doctor, cycle-syncing nutrition, and stress management to support your body’s balance. You deserve health solutions that nurture, not mask, your natural rhythms.
Veganism is healthy.
I’ve researched nutrition science for 15+ years and have tried every diet. Not buying it. Don’t believe the cherry-picked data (often driven by ideology, big money and people wanting to be ‘skinny’ in the guise of saving our animals and planet) because there’s nothing wrong with high-quality meat and eggs, which also leaves you satiated, so you’re not reaching out for snacks all day, and your blood sugar is stable.
You can’t save the planet if you’re nutrient-deficient. Get your health dialled first, then worry about ethics. Your body deserves priority, not dogma.
After 10 years of this trend, fueled by social media (which I’ve witnessed since day one), I’m finally seeing influencers return to common sense and start eating meat again. Many of them had previously followed strict plant-based diets for years, which often led to health issues such as losing their periods, hair, sanity, relationships, and much more. I personally know a handful of influencers with hundreds of thousands of followers who had to eat meat IN SECRET because they’re livelihoods and finances depended on their public image, so their biases continued to promote a dangerous philosophy. It’s quite sad, but the future looks bright!
Low-fat diets are healthy.
The low-fat myth has long been debunked. Eliminating healthy fats strips essential fats needed for hormone synthesis (estrogen, testosterone), brain function, and nutrient absorption (vitamins A, D), while high-carb replacements spike insulin, driving obesity and inflammation
The shift began in the post-war era, when margarine, born from wartime butter shortages, and processed foods surged, promoted by military needs (Spam), the grain industry (Kellogg’s, General Mills). By the 1980s, low-fat dogma, fueled by flawed studies, led to a health decline— heart disease and diabetes rates soared.
Healthy fats, such as omega-3s and saturated fats, support cell membranes, reduce inflammation, and stabilize energy levels. High-fat foods (fish, grass-fed butter, avocados, fatty meats, olive oil, ghee) can fuel hormonal balance and cognition.
Avoid trans fats (margarine, fast food) and omega-6-heavy seed oils (canola, soybean), which inflame cells.
Anything in gummy form.
Gummy vitamins or supplements? Total rip-off. They’re candy with a side of sugar, barely delivering nutrients. I’d rather eat eggs and liver for their bioavailable vitamins (B12, A) to fuel cellular repair. Don’t waste cash on cute packaging and convenience— your body deserves the good stuff, not marketing tricks disguised as health.
Gluten-free for everyone.
Gluten-free for all is nonsense unless you’re celiac or sensitive. I eat sourdough when I want—no guilt. The fad is just a distraction from eating real, whole foods. Don’t ditch gluten because it’s trendy; focus on nutrient-dense meals that make you feel alive, not restricted by hype.
NAD and vitamin IV drips.
NAD and vitamin IVs are a rich person’s gimmick.
What I’d do instead:
- Vitamin drips: Healthy habits, nutrient-dense foods, sunlight, and exercise.
- NAD infusion: Time is money. Ain’t got no time to sit around, waiting for a drip when I can take a precursor (such as NMN) for a fraction of the price, and more effectively.
💡 NAD IVs work for rapid, short-term NAD+ boosts, ideal for acute needs like energy crashes or addiction recovery, but their effects fade quickly, and they’re costly ($180–$490/session). NMN supplements (300–1200 mg/day) are more cost-effective ($30–$100 per month), sustainable, and supported by studies showing gradual increases in NAD+ with benefits to metabolism, insulin sensitivity, and aging markers. NMN is likely the better choice for daily use, while NAD IVs could be reserved for occasional boosts.
The sun gives you skin cancer.
The “sun causes cancer” fear mongering drives me insane! Our wonderful sun has given us (and our planet) life, powering Earth’s ecosystems and your biology with vitamin D, serotonin, and regulating your circadian rhythm. Since when did it become an enemy?
Again, common sense ain’t so common.
The fear began in the 1980s when sunscreen campaigns linked UV exposure to skin cancer, overlooking the role of inflammation. Chronic inflammation from poor diets, stress, or processed foods amplifies skin cancer risk; UV exposure alone isn’t the culprit (studies show 90% of melanomas link to lifestyle factors, not just sun).
Try 20 minutes of daily sunlight, no sunscreen or sunglasses, ideally on bare skin, to set your circadian clock via melanopsin activation. Watch sunsets to counter blue light’s melatonin suppression. Moderate sun exposure, paired with anti-inflammatory habits (berries, omega-3s), protects your skin while harnessing nature’s benefits.
iPhones, Apple Watches, AirPods.
Say no to excessive EMFs, which notifications disrupt sleep, melatonin, and nervous system balance, increasing oxidative stress.
Conventional insight tell you that the amount of EMF in our devices is too minuscule to matter, but remember, we are drowning in a soup of toxins, including toxic household chemicals (such as cleaning products and air fresheners), scents (from candles and perfumes), and makeup, as well as microplastics in our clothing.
Invest in an Oura ring instead, and put it on airplane mode. Bluetooth earbuds are the worst. Please stop walking around with your AirPods on 24/7. Not a cool look, and you are stressing your nervous system. I went old-school and rock wired earphones whenever I can.
Ditch the always-on tech and reclaim your peace, reduce stress, and boost longevity. You’ll live longer, better and your nervous system will thank you.
Coffee on an empty stomach.
Coffee first thing? Bad move, especially for the ladies. Caffeine spikes cortisol, disrupting your hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis, and elevates blood sugar, impairing insulin sensitivity, which can lead to mid-morning energy crashes. It also blocks adenosine receptors, delaying natural wakefulness. For women, fluctuating hormones amplify these effects, risking adrenal fatigue.
I discovered three years ago that delaying caffeine intake made a huge difference in my life. At first, it was tough because for over a decade, I had always started my day with coffee. Now, waiting to have it until after I’ve eaten feels effortless. As a result, I enjoy stable energy, no brain fog or mood swings, and I feel happier and healthier than ever. I’m aging in reverse! Put in the effort; you won’t regret it!
Pro-tip: Wait 90 minutes after waking to allow cortisol to peak naturally, thereby preserving hormonal balance. Try plain water with a pinch of Redmond sea salt and a squeeze of lemon to rehydrate and restore electrolytes, supporting cellular function.
Meat, eggs, and coffee are bad for you.
This is the biggest elephant in the room, but thankfully, the conversation is slowly shifting. This trio was once the scapegoat for all our health problems.
But guess what? Grass-fed steak, free-range eggs, and black coffee are nutrient-rich powerhouses, packed with protein, B12, choline, and antioxidants to support muscle, brain, and heart health.
After decades of debate, eggs have finally been reinstated on the “healthy list.” This change is thanks to the dedication of doctors and scientists who bravely challenged traditional media, risking cancellation or damage to their careers and reputations.
The anti-fat, anti-cholesterol movement of the 1960s, fueled by flawed studies like Ancel Keys’, scapegoated meat, wrongly linking saturated fat to heart disease. Big food (like Kellogg’s, grain giants) pushed veganism and ultra-processed cereals, spiking insulin and obesity via high-carb diets.
It’s time we go back to our roots and embrace these staples to stabilize blood sugar, boost mitochondrial function, and thrive.
Try grass-fed beef, pastured eggs, and organic coffee, disregarding fearmongering from industries that profit from processed junk. You’ll feel vibrant, not deprived, when you choose real foods for longevity.
