The health world is drowning in lies:
❌ “You’re too skinny, you must be starving!”
❌ “Your genes dictate your fate.”
❌ “Staying healthy is a hard!”
I began blogging about fitness and longevity in my 20s. I’ve heard it all, and I’m over it.
At 37, I’m lean, strong, and feel younger than ever, not from luck or genetics, but because I’ve taken extreme ownership of my health and biohacking.
I’m doing less than I did in my 20s, yet I’m more confident in my body; maintaining muscle and optimal health is easier than ever. Life feels effortless despite life’s never-ending problems.
The biggest scam? Settling for average.
I will share my story of defying health myths, embracing excellence, and proving that a vibrant, resilient life is simpler than you think.
Mediocrity is where longevity goals die.
Aim higher.
The Lie of “You’re Too Skinny”
I’ve always been lean, and people love to assume I’m starving myself. “You’re not normal for a woman,” they say, as if my physique is a flaw. “17% body fat is unhealthy for a woman” (mind you, I’m an athlete).
The truth? I eat more than most, devouring cake and desserts daily, noodles and of course, rice because RICE IS LIFE!!
I don’t count calories or stress over holiday feasts.
Why?
I burn more, thanks to disciplined, healthy habits built in my 20s.
And I recover HARDER than I train.

My dad modelled discipline, consistent exercise, mindful eating, and relentless focus.
He didn’t pass “lean genes”; he gifted lifestyle habits.
I cook nutrient-dense meals, move daily, and make wellness automatic, like brushing my teeth. These habits make staying lean effortless, but not average.
And that’s the point: why settle for ordinary when you can be extraordinary?
Busting the Genetics Myth
Another lie: we’re prisoners to our genes.
Wrong.
Most health issues— weight struggles, fatigue, even chronic conditions— can be reversed or improved through lifestyle changes.
My physique isn’t genetic; it’s the product of choices.
So let me ask you? Which choices did you make to get you where you are today?
Since my fitness journey began in 2007, I’ve never lost motivation or fallen off the bandwagon.
How? Rock-solid habits for longevity built early, making healthy living muscle memory.
Put in the hard work upfront so health feels effortless now.
I follow the 80/20 rule; 80% of my choices are high-impact (whole foods, regular workouts), and 20% is freedom (cake, rice, no restrictions). I eat what I want, when I want, and never feel deprived.
This isn’t deprivation; it’s liberation.
The scam is believing that health and fitness require suffering.
Excellence comes from consistency, not torture.

My Optimal Approach: High-Protein, Strategic, and Fun
My lifestyle is built for resilience and longevity, not average metrics.
✓ High-protein, high-fat diet, with carbs (white rice) timed around workouts for muscle recovery or evenings to aid sleep optimization.
✓ Listen to my body and honour my nervous system. If I’m extra fatigued due to life, I slow down and avoid causing unnecessary stress (like overexercising).
✓ Experiment with biohacking longevity… cold plunging, red light therapy, meditation, tracking energy and mood.
✓ Use Oura for sleep tracking and resilience. Get bloodwork done often. Work with a coach.
✓ Ignore others’ opinions.
This isn’t dogma—it’s what works for me.
The result?
At 37, I’m stronger, more confident, and in greater control of my body than in my 20s.
It takes me less effort to maintain my body, and I’m doing 60% less than what I used to do in my 20s.
Slow down to speed up, right? Less is more when you focus on what matters.
To look good, feel better, and thrive, reject the lie that ‘longevity is hard’ or that you should conform to what the average person is doing.
Defying the Aging Myth
The biggest health lie of all: “Your metabolism slows in your 40s.”
Nonsense.
It’s not age. It’s habits that slow down.
Most people slack on exercise, skimp on protein, or let stress pile up, then blame biology.
I’m proof that you can feel younger as you age. My metabolism hums because I stay active, eat strategically, and prioritize resilience. I’m not fighting my body; I’m working with it, and it’s never been easier.
If I can do it, you can do it too. Trust me.
This control breeds confidence.
Stop chasing average metrics like BMI or “normal” body fat. Instead, pursue excellence.
How well can you handle life’s challenges?
How vibrant can you feel at 50, 60, 80?
Longevity isn’t about avoiding wrinkles; it’s about riding life’s rollercoaster with strength, clarity, and joy. That’s what you should build, and it’s why you must refuse to let others’ assumptions drag you down.
The Cost of Average and the Call to Excellence
It’s frustrating when others judge us as “unhealthy” or assume we’re obsessed because we don’t look or eat like the “average” woman.
Their comments reflect the scam: the belief that average is the goal.
If I’d listened, I’d be
❌ stressing over food
❌ doubting my habits
❌ chasing someone else’s body
❌ counting every calorie and macro
❌ never finding motivation to work out
Instead, we must hold ourselves to the highest standard.
Never settle for mediocrity because that’s where your longevity goals die.
Imagine if we all rejected average. What if we stopped letting others’ misconceptions (‘experts’ included) define our worth? What if we took ownership, built unshakeable habits, and aimed for our excellence?
My story isn’t about having a nice body— it’s about refusing to conform.
It’s about the discipline to eat well, move often, and live fully, not because it’s hard, but because it’s who we should be.
You can do it too.
Your Turn to Break Free
Don’t let health myths hold you back. You’re not a prisoner to genes, age, or anyone’s judgment.
Start with one biohacking habit. Maybe it’s:
✅ walking 20 minutes daily
✅ cooking a high-protein meal 3x this week
✅ starting your showers with the blast of cold water for 10 seconds
Commit to the 80/20 rule (80% discipline, 20% freedom ) and watch health become effortless.
Track how you feel, not what the scale says.
Partner with your doctor, but drive your own healing.
Excellence isn’t average.
It’s you, thriving at 37, 47, or 77, stronger and freer than ever.
Reject the scams.
Hold yourself to the highest standard.
Your vibrant longevity lifestyle is waiting.
Claim it, darlings.
